Submission Guidelines
Hogwarts Rehab is now accepting submissions. If you'd like to contribute to the universe, please read and follow these guidelines.
1) READ ALL THE STORIES BEFORE WRITING. This is a shared universe, so you need to be familiar with the characters and situation before adding to it. Keep the tone and characterization consistent. The cast is not limited to the characters listed; undefined characters will be added to the roster as they appear in the stories.
2) All stories must be spell-checked and beta-read, and sent to the moderators for approval prior to posting. We will never edit your work without your permission, but we may request changes for consistency's sake.
3) All posted stories are Hogwarts Rehab canon. Any submission which contradicts previous stories will be rejected or moved to the AU section. Simultaneous submissions which contradict each other will be assessed by the moderators. We may suggest changes to the authors in order to harmonize both stories.
4) The AU section is reserved for stories which do not match the established story line. Authors are not required to consider, or even read AU stories before writing; they are not part of the story arc.
5) MAINTAIN THE STATUS QUO. No characters will die. No characters will pass the Ministry's weekly evaluation. Snape will never sleep with Harry or discover Sirius' function at Hogwarts Rehab. Lucius will never give up his nick. Remus will never stay awake through an entire therapy session. These things may happen eventually, but for now, we'd prefer that you put everything back approximately where you found it -- think of sitcoms like Gilligan's Island or Three's Company. This is not to say you can't advance the story. If you do write a pivotal scene, be warned that we may put it in the AU section or ask you to hold it back until we feel the story arc has played out to its full potential. We will also be much stricter over writing quality and characterization in pivotal scenes.To submit a fic to Hogwarts Rehab, send the fic to admin @ etc.slashcity.net. Be sure to include a title and summary, your name and email address.That's it. Have fun, be silly, and for Merlin's sake, don't eat the brownies!
